Ingredients
- 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- 3/4 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Prepared Hot Coffee
- 1/2 ounce Whiskey
- 1/2 cup Full Fat Coconut Milk
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- In a thick-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, grate fresh nutmeg and sprinkle brown sugar, allowing it to caramelize for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add hot coffee and swirl in the pan, then slowly pour in the whiskey and the remainder of the hot coffee, whisking for 2 additional minutes.
- Chill the coconut milk for a minimum of 6 hours, then scrape the thick cream into a chilled mixing bowl, leaving the liquid behind.
- Beat the coconut cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth, for about 1 minute.
- Pour the hot coffee mixture into a glass and top with the coconut cream. Grate some additional nutmeg on top.
