Ingredients
- 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 slice fresh ginger (about 1/2 inch)
- 1 all-spice berry
- 1 clove
- 1/4 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 cup 100% cranberry or pomegranate juice
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 tablespoons vodka
- 3/4 cup sparkling water
- Chai spice sugar or cinnamon sugar for rim (optional)
- Sliced oranges, mint, and star anise for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a pot, bring 1/4 cup water, the cranberries, honey, ginger, all-spice, cloves, and cinnamon stick to a boil over high heat. Let it boil for 5 minutes until the cranberries begin to burst, then remove from the heat and let it cool. Remove the ginger slice, all-spice berry, and clove. Strain out the cranberries if desired.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cranberry syrup, cranberry juice, orange juice, and vodka. Chill until ready to serve.
- Just before serving, add the sparkling water. Rim each glass in Chai sugar (recipe in notes), then fill with ice and pour the punch over. Garnish each drink with an orange slice and star anise, if desired.
