Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons butterfly pea flowers
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Create simple syrup by boiling sugar and water in a saucepan, then simmer until sugar dissolves. Let it cool and stir in lemon juice.
  2. Steep butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 3-5 minutes, then discard flowers and let the tea cool.
  3. In a wide-mouth water bottle, shake cold water and matcha for 10 seconds to make the matcha.
  4. In a glass filled with ice, pour in the butterfly pea flower tea about a third of the way.
  5. Add the lemonade until it reaches 2/3 of the glass, then top it with the matcha.
  6. Stir before enjoying.
