Ingredients

  • 1.70 oz bourbon whiskey
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 oz rye whiskey (or blended whisky)
  • 0.30 oz sugar syrup
  • Several dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Strip of pared orange zest

Instructions

  1. Pour the bourbon whiskey into a heavy-based tumbler or old fashioned glass with 2 ice cubes.
  2. Stir for 10 seconds, then add the rye whiskey (or blended whisky), sugar syrup, and a few dashes of Angostura bitters.
  3. Add a few more ice cubes and continue stirring.
  4. Add more ice to fill the glass and twist a pared piece of orange zest over the drink to catch the oils.
  5. Drop the zest in the glass and enjoy!
