Precision Grapefruit Pilot
A bright and bittersweet Irish whiskey cocktail with grapefruit and Campari.
Ingredients
- 1 large ice cube or sphere
- 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
- 0.50 oz grapefruit liqueur, such as Combier Liqueur de Pamplemousse Rose
- 0.75 oz Campari
- 1 oz Lillet Rose
- 1 oz blended Irish whiskey (such as Tullamore D.E.W. Original)
- Strip of grapefruit peel, for squeezing
Instructions
- Place a large ice cube or sphere in an Old-Fashioned glass and set aside.
- Fill a mixing glass with ice.
- Add the Peychaud's bitters, grapefruit liqueur, Campari, Lillet Rose, and whiskey to the mixing glass.
- Stir the mixture until chilled and diluted.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
- Twist the strip of grapefruit peel over the drink to express the aromatic oils.
- Discard the peel and serve the Precision Grapefruit Pilot.
