Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1 lime peel
- 6 (14 oz.) cans condensed milk
- 2 (12 oz.) tins evaporated milk
- 3-4 dashes Angostura bitters
- 3 cups rum
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated cinnamon
Instructions
- Crack eggs into a large mixing bowl, one at a time, and remove the white membrane.
- Add the peel of a lime to the eggs and whisk until frothy using an electric mixer on low or a handheld whisk.
- Slowly pour in condensed milk while whisking vigorously, then add evaporated milk and the entire bottle of rum.
- Mix in freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon thoroughly.
- Discard the lime peel and strain the mixture through a fine colander.
- Pour the mixture into sterile glass bottles for storage.
