Ingredients
- 1.50 oz orange-flavored liqueur
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 to 1.50 tsp icing sugar, if desired
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 2 lime wedges, if desired
- 1 tbsp coarse salt, if desired
- 1.50 oz tequila
Instructions
- In a blender, combine orange liqueur, lime juice, icing sugar, and crushed ice. Blend until smooth.
- Spoon the mixture into a non-metal freezer container and freeze until almost firm, approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- If the mixture freezes completely, let it stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Return the partially frozen mixture to the blender and blend until slushy.
- Rub the rims of glasses with lime wedges, then dip in salt to coat.
- Place the slush in each salt-rimmed glass and add the tequila.
- Garnish with lime wedges and serve chilled.
