Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces aged rum
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce pure maple syrup
  • 1 whole egg
  • Ice
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • Grated fresh nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the aged rum, orange liqueur, pure maple syrup, and whole egg.
  2. Cover the shaker and shake vigorously until the mixture starts to emulsify, which should take about 45 seconds.
  3. Add ice and the sprig of fresh rosemary to the shaker.
  4. Cover the shaker and shake until the outside frosts, approximately 30 seconds.
  5. Strain the mixture into a glass.
  6. Garnish with grated fresh nutmeg.
