Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 2 oz heavy cream (whipped into a loose whipped cream, approximately 1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a glass mug by filling it with hot tap water, then empty the mug.
  2. Pour the hot coffee into the prepared glass mug, filling it about 3/4 full.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar until fully dissolved.
  4. Mix in the Irish whiskey.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until it reaches a thick but pourable consistency.
  6. Gently pour the thickened cream over the back of a spoon onto the coffee, allowing it to rest on top.
