Ingredients
- 1/8 medium honeydew melon (approximately 1 cup chopped)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice (approximately 1 lime)
- 1 1/8 oz tequila
- A pinch of cayenne pepper
- 2 large fresh basil leaves
- Lime wedge for garnish
- Tajin Classico for rimming
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Remove seeds and peel, then cut the honeydew into one-inch cubes, yielding approximately 1 cup of honeydew pieces.
- Blend the honeydew pieces in a blender on high until liquefied. Strain if necessary to remove larger chunks, resulting in approximately 1/2 cup of honeydew puree.
- Add tequila, lime juice, basil leaves, and cayenne to the blender. Blend until the basil leaves are pureed and everything is well combined. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Rim the glass with Tajin Classico seasoning by wetting the edge with a lime wedge and then dipping it in the seasoning.
- Fill the prepared glass with ice and pour the margarita mixture over the ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
