Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Hibiscus Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz white tequila
  • 1/4 cup club soda
  • Kosher salt for garnish
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil the water, then steep the hibiscus flowers in it for 5 minutes and strain out the flowers.
  2. Return the pot to the stove, add sugar, and heat until dissolved. Allow the hibiscus syrup to cool.
  3. Rub the rim of a highball glass with a grapefruit or lime wedge, and dip the rim in salt.
  4. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, and hibiscus simple syrup in the glass and stir.
  5. Stir in tequila, add ice, and top off with club soda.
  6. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
