Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 6 bruised sage leaves with stems
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz pear juice
  • 1/4 oz ginger-sage simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Instructions

  1. To make the ginger-sage simple syrup, combine water, sugar, ginger, and sage in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Let it cool completely, then strain the syrup into an airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, pear juice, simple syrup, lemon juice, and orange bitters.
  3. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
