Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- 6 bruised sage leaves with stems
- 1 1/2 oz vodka
- 1 oz pear juice
- 1/4 oz ginger-sage simple syrup
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Instructions
- To make the ginger-sage simple syrup, combine water, sugar, ginger, and sage in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Let it cool completely, then strain the syrup into an airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, pear juice, simple syrup, lemon juice, and orange bitters.
- Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass.
