Ingredients

  • 5 oz Rosé Wine
  • 1 cup Watermelon Cubes, seedless
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Water

Instructions

  1. Pour the rosé wine into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid, for at least 6 hours (it should be slightly icy and slushy).
  2. Cut the watermelon into cubes and freeze them on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan until firm, for at least 4 hours.
  3. Once the wine and watermelon cubes are frozen, transfer them to a plastic bag and freeze for up to a month.
  4. Create simple syrup by combining sugar and water. Heat them on the stovetop or in the microwave until the sugar dissolves.
  5. When ready to serve, transfer the frozen wine and watermelon to a blender and blend until smooth. If necessary, let them defrost at room temperature for a few minutes before blending.
  6. Gradually add the simple syrup, tasting as you go. Depending on the natural sweetness of the wine and fruit, you may need only a little or none at all.
