Ingredients
- Cinnamon sugar, for rimming glass
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
- 4 whole cloves
- 3 oz dry red wine
Instructions
- If desired, moisten the rim of a mug with water and dip in cinnamon sugar to coat the rim.
- In a saucepan, combine the apple cider, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the red wine and heat through, then remove from the heat.
- Cover and let it steep for 10 minutes before straining.
- Serve the mulled red cider in the prepared mug.
