Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup cream of coconut
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1.50 oz Puerto Rican rum
  • Cinnamon sugar and cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Pour in the Puerto Rican rum and continue to whisk until fully incorporated.
  4. Strain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer to remove any remaining clumps of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  5. Refrigerate the coquito for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, garnish the glass with a rim of cinnamon sugar and add a cinnamon stick for a festive touch.
