Ingredients
- 2/3 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 3/4 cup cream of coconut
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1.50 oz Puerto Rican rum
- Cinnamon sugar and cinnamon stick for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk the mixture thoroughly until well combined.
- Pour in the Puerto Rican rum and continue to whisk until fully incorporated.
- Strain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer to remove any remaining clumps of cinnamon or nutmeg.
- Refrigerate the coquito for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, garnish the glass with a rim of cinnamon sugar and add a cinnamon stick for a festive touch.
