Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon whiskey
- 1 1/2 ounces fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce fresh squeezed orange juice or Cointreau
- 2 teaspoons agave nectar
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- Optional Garnish: 1 tablespoon ultrafine sugar for glass rim
Instructions
- Place ultrafine sugar on a small plate.
- Rub the rim of a chilled martini glass with a lemon wedge and dip the wet rim into the sugar, tapping the glass to remove any excess sugar.
- Use a zester to peel off 1 long strip from the lemon peel as a garnish.
- Squeeze juice from the lemon and fresh orange juice, or use Cointreau instead.
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker, then pour in the bourbon, lemon juice, orange juice (or Cointreau), and agave nectar.
- Cover the shaker and shake vigorously.
- Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon spiral. Enjoy!
