Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 oz fruity red wine, such as pinot noir
  • 1/2 oz brandy
  • 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz ginger ale
  • 1/4 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 thin slice each of orange, lemon, and lime
  • 1/4 fresh peach, pitted and sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves; remove from heat.
  2. Transfer the sugar syrup to a pitcher and set aside to cool to room temperature.
  3. Add the red wine, brandy, and citrus juices to the pitcher, then cover and refrigerate.
  4. Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale, pineapple chunks, citrus slices, and peach slices.
  5. Pour into a glass filled with ice, garnish with some of the fruit, and serve immediately.
