Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 oz fruity red wine, such as pinot noir
  • 1/2 oz brandy
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup ginger ale
  • 1/4 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 2 thin slices each of orange, lemon, and lime
  • 1/4 fresh peach, pitted and sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves; then remove from heat.
  2. Transfer the sugar mixture to a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Add the red wine, brandy, and citrus juices to the pitcher, then cover and refrigerate.
  4. Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale, pineapple, citrus slices, and peaches.
  5. Pour the Sangria into a glass filled with ice, garnish with some of the fruit, and serve immediately.
