Ingredients
- Handful of mint leaves
- 2/3 ounce cinnamon simple syrup
- 1 1/2 ounces Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege cognac
- 3/4 ounce red grapefruit juice
- 1/2 ounce Luxardo Bitter Bianco
- 1/2 ounce Lemon Hart & Sons 151 demerara rum
- Garnish: mint sprig
- Garnish: grapefruit twist
Instructions
- In a Collins glass, muddle the mint leaves with cinnamon simple syrup.
- Add cognac, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, and grapefruit juice to the glass.
- Fill the glass with crushed ice and swizzle to combine the ingredients.
- Top the cocktail with the demerara rum and add more crushed ice to fill the glass.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a wide grapefruit twist.
- For the cinnamon simple syrup: Bring 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar, and 6 crushed cinnamon sticks to a boil in a small saucepan, then simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and allow to cool before using.
